PROJECT PARTNERS

LIFE AgroPaper® consortium is formed by a multidisciplinary team of 6 partners from 2 EU member countries (Spain, France).
All of them together will ensure the achievement of the project goals and the dissemination of the results at European and at international level.

Smurfit Kappa Sangüesa part of the group Smurfit Kappa, is specialized in the MG-KRAFT paper production. It will be the coordinator of the project carrying out the validation of the new AgroPaper® product developed for agriculture.
Role: coordinate, paper treatment technologies, paper producer, monitor and validate the novel solutions for agricultural applications and main explorer.

Grupo AN is a reference in the cereals, fruit and vegetables, and poultry sector. AN supports with inputs and services approximately 42,000 farmers and livestock owners, belonging to 161 local cooperatives, and it employs more than 1,700 employees in its own industries and in field services.
Role: demonstrator and validator in Spain.

Leader in Spain in the manufacture and marketing of fresh vegetables ready to consume. Part of GROUP AGRIAL. Fields selected for demonstration are managed by local subsidiaries (FLORETTE HORTICOLA NAVARRA and FLORETTE MURCIA) that have signed comitment letters.

Agrial is one of the leading French agricultural and agri-food cooperative groups and generated sales of 6.1 billion euros in 2019. Agrial’s vegetables and fresh fruits division ranks among the European leaders for fruits and vegetables fresh with in particular Florette in ready to use fresh fruits and vegetables (4th range), Primeale in raw vegetables to prepare (1st range) and Crealine in fresh purees and soups (5th range).
Role: demonstrator and validator in France.

CEBAS belongs to CSIC (Superior Council of Scientific Research) and is a multidisciplinary centre that involved: Agricultural Sciences, Food Science & Technology & Natural Resources.
Role:
- Evaluate the edaphic fertility in the agricultural soils, from an agronomic and environmental perspective, with the impact on key aspects such as health, biodiversity and carbon fixation. These goals will be promoted by the incorporation into the soil of an exogenous carbon source from the degradation of Agropaper® in agricultural soils.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Agropaper® in relation to the performance of each of the tested crops in comparison with conventional mulching.

The Spanish Society of Organic Farming and Agroecology (SEAE) is a non-profit civil association, created to join together the efforts of the main agents of the organic food chain. SEAE has long experience in the sector, as well as in the development of studies and projects and in the organization of international events. SEAE is part of broader and international networks such as IFOAM and has more than 1,000 members from all over the country. Role: the dissemination and communication of how the current and future legislation on organic production is affecting or may affect the Project.
Role: dissemination and communication an influence in future organic agriculture regulation.
